Compress Image to 50KB: is this the right limit?
This preset starts the image compressor at 50KB. It is most useful when the website, application, or document portal accepting your image specifies that maximum. The result depends on the source image; a target is not a promise of identical quality or exact output size.
When this target makes sense
a small document or web upload when the receiving service specifies a 50KB limit.
Practical advice for 50KB
For forms, signatures, or receipts, crop to the actual content and retain enough pixels for text to remain readable. For a photo, compare the face or other important detail at the size it will be viewed.
A 50KB limit can still be restrictive for photographs. Some portals also enforce dimensions or formats, so check those separately from the output's file size.
A reliable image-compression check
- Check the destination's maximum file size, accepted format, and required pixel dimensions.
- Upload up to three images (20MB maximum each), crop unused content if helpful, and keep the 50KB preset unless you need another limit.
- Compress and review the resulting image. Confirm its actual size and that important text, edges, and subject details remain clear.
- If it is still too large or no longer readable, try a more focused crop or a larger limit if the destination allows one.
Choose a different image size
Use the limit required by the receiving site. These presets change the starting target; the tool also lets you adjust it.
