Sign PDF Online

Draw your signature or use a photo of it. Crop the photo, optionally remove its background, place the signature on your PDF, and download a signed copy. Processing happens in your browser.

How to add a signature to a PDF

  1. Select a PDF from your device and wait for its pages to load.
  2. Choose Add signature to open the signature editor.
  3. Draw with a mouse, touchpad, or finger, or choose Sign with photo to use an image of your handwritten signature.
  4. For a photo signature, crop the image to the signature. Choose Remove background if you want a transparent background, then inspect the preview.
  5. Select Use signature, then click each PDF page where you want to place it.
  6. Drag each placed signature to reposition it or use its handle to resize it. Select Download signed PDF when finished.

Draw a signature or use a signature photo

Draw directly in the signature pad and adjust the pen color and thickness, or import an image of a handwritten signature. The photo workflow lets you crop the image before using it. Background removal is optional and applies to the signature image—not to the PDF page—so the mark can sit over the document without its original background. Review the preview to make sure the result looks right before placing it.

After creating the signature, click on one or more pages to place copies. You can move and resize each placed signature before exporting.

A visible signature, not a digital certificate

Drawn signatures and imported signature images are embedded as visible images in the PDF. This tool does not apply a certificate-based digital signature, verify your identity, or provide cryptographic proof that the document has not changed. Check the recipient's requirements before using it for legal, financial, or official documents.

Private, in-browser PDF signing

The PDF and signature image are processed in your browser; the signed copy is created there for download. If the PDF is password-protected, the tool may ask for its password to open and export it.
